A Betting Man

A Betting Man - Sandrine Gasq-Dion I really enjoyed this novella. I like a good gfy story and this one is that. Kent is a high-powered ad exec who makes a bet with his co-worker that he'll make the next person to walk in the door fall in love with him. Naturally, Kent is a huge womanizer (who 'looks like David Beckham') and the next person to walk in is a cute male twink bike messenger.

I liked the other MC, Terry, to pieces, and I particularly enjoyed the scenes with Kent's parents. The gfy element wasn't really explained or expanded upon--Kent just immediately feels a strong physical attraction to Terry because 'he's adorable', despite not having felt that way for any guy before. And there wasn't even a mention of how Kent might feel about going from being a notorious playboy with beautiful women on his arm to suddenly having a guy there.

While I would have liked to see aspects delved into a little more, I still really enjoyed the story. The UST and the two MCs were really hot and overall it was a sweet and fun read.
